Dancing with LHQ was not only a memorable time in my life, but also inspired many qualities that I still uphold to this day. After my first semester of college it was apparent that I had something that my other friends did not, I was driven and disciplined. While most freshman were only concerned with their social life, I was interested in more pressing matters such as grades, extra-curricular activities, etc. That being said, I of course enjoyed my time in college but I have always kept my schedule balanced with work and leisure time.
As a student I also participated in two dance groups run by students on campus. It was refreshing to be with students that shared common interests of mine, while still handling the course load and distractions of college. At school I expanded my knowledge of dance, trying ballroom for once and absolutely loving it! Coming into my senior year of college, I must say that the individuals I danced with and my instructors are still like a second family to me. I still keep in contact with everyone and always love coming to the recitals and seeing how much everyone has grown. Even though I will be pursuing a career working in a lab position after college, I know that I will continue to keep dance apart of my life.
