I have been a student here at LHQ Danceforce for over fourteen years and competed with the LHQ dance team for six years . I have recently graduated from Westfield State University in May of 2013 with a bachelors degree in Movement Science. I currently work full time at a physical therapy clinic as a rehabilitation aide and part time at fitness club as a fitness instructor and personal trainer.
Dance has been my passion since the age of three. If dance was not part of my life, I don't think I would be the person who I am today. I have gained tremendous amount of confidence in myself here at LHQ. Before coming here to the studio I was a shy and quiet girl but that all changed. I made great friends here and was able to come out my shy shell. All the dance teachers here are amazingly talented and wonderful role models to all the children. Every single dancer who I have danced with also shared the same passion as I do, which made a great impact on our relationships with one another. I gained a special bond with everyone who made an enormous impact on my life.
As an older dancer in the studio I needed to step up and become a leader to each dancer. I feel that I had taught them to never give up and to keep positive attitude on the dance floor and off the dance floor. It is an amazing feeling to have that kind of responsibility being a role model to the students. I took the tools that I have gained here at LHQ and now using the skills more and more each day.
When the time came to deciding on a college career all my life my passion was the love of dance and being physically active, which helped me decide what to major in college. Having a healthy life style is very important to me. LHQ is a wonderful environment to grow up in as a dancer and as a person. Not only learning how to dance but you learn how to be a team player and respect for other dancers.
